No matter where you are, there are plenty of ways we can go green and be conscious of our impact on the environment. Before you even leave for your campsite, there are a few things to consider.
This tip is applicable to any scenario but is important for those venturing out into the wilderness. Packing re-usable containers, whether they be for food, water or supplies, is a must. This will help reduce the amount of waste your campsite accumulates, making it easier on you in the long run. Having recycling bags and bins handy will help with this and will also keep things organized. If you decide to go for a hike or explore some trails, you’ll need to have some snacks and drinks readily available. If you’re food is in wrappers, keep a bag on you so that you can collect any waste you create and dispose of it when you get back to your site.
RV-ing not only allows for all your belongings to be stored securely in one vehicle, they are also a great alternative for people who like having some of the comforts of home.
