Niagara-on-the-Lake

Rows of grape vines

Also known by many as "NOTL", Niagara-on-the-Lake is a local gem. A historical area, it has maintained a small town feel with little shops and vintage architecture. The plethora of wineries and restaurants accessible throughout its many neighbourhoods are flush with satisfy flavours for all palettes. Make it a weekend and attend an evening performance at local theatre or enjoy a round of golf at a nearby course.

Beaches

Family running onto beach

Given its position between Lake Erie and Lake Ontario, Niagara has a wide variety of options for those looking to enjoy a nice day on the beach. In some cases, you can even drive your car right to the shoreline - like Nickel Beach in Port Colborne. Crystal Beach in nearby Fort Erie is popular place in summer as well. There are plenty of interesting things to see along the way and family-friendly parks with lots of shade for those who need a break from the sun.
