Each winter the holidays brighten up our lives inside and out. From the joy we feel when seeing loved ones to the decorations arranged all throughout the house, this time of year is filled with many special moments. One tradition that especially speaks to this is visiting the various holiday light shows that exist across our province.
Many communities across Ontario offer unique holiday light experiences, some within a short distance from home. Check out our five favourite Winter Light displays below and get in the holiday spirit. ‘Tis the season after all!
The park you know and love as Safari Niagara has been transformed into a magical land of pretty sights and over a million glowing lights. This 3 km drive-thru experience will entertain you at every turn as you drive by reindeer, teddy bears, ornaments and much more! The whole family will love a special interactive game played throughout the park. Glow Gardens runs until January 2, 2021. Be sure to check the event calendar and enjoy the show!
Canada’s largest free outdoor light festival, this annual tradition consists of 3 million lights that are situated along the Niagara Parkway, Dufferin Island and across Niagara Falls, Ontario. With its wide-open park spaces and the ability to view the lights from your car, The Winter Festival of Lights allows you to feel comfortable and safe as you take in the incredible sights. A tradition for many, guests can enjoy this breathtaking experience until January 10, 2021.

Located in along the shores of Lake Ontario, the Burlington Festival of Lights is just a short drive from Niagara. Enjoy a nice walk through Spencer Smith Park admiring 60 unique light displays with your family and friends. Now in its 25th year, this experience is sure to provide you with many great memories over the Holidays. The Burlington Festival of Lights is free of charge and runs daily from November 27, 2020 to January 8, 2021 from 4 pm to midnight.
Stretching across 2.5 kms, this family-friendly drive-thru holiday light display consists of two spectacular light tunnels and over 300 incredible light displays. Make your drive through the park even more festive by listening to Holiday classic on a special radio station, Gift of Lights Radio at 103.3 FM. Tickets to Bingemans Gift of Lights must be purchased in advance, and guests can choose to drive or walk the park.
