The air is crisp, the leaves are changing, and pumpkin spice is everywhere. It’s that time of year again, when autumn offers an abundance of sensory experiences. Plan some fun fall activities with your friends or family right here in Niagara. We have plenty of suggestions that are sure to turn your October into a Funtober, with everything from apple picking to trick-or-treating and family-friendly festivals and events. Plus, we’ve got a few CAA Member savings you’ll want to take advantage of!

1. Heartland Forest's Pumpkinfest

Bringing back their famous fall celebration, Heartland Forest is looking forward to welcoming you to the spooktacular Pumpkinfest on October 22nd.This event offers Halloween fun for the entire family, including a haunted treehouse and Tootsie Express train ride, a pumpkin rolling contest and crafts, a scavenger hunt, and the exciting Trail of Treats!

2. Safari Niagara's Boo at the Zoo & Dinosaurs Live

Boo at the Zoo - Get ready to trick or treat at Safari Niagara for Boo at the Zoo, available from Thursday, October 7th to Sunday, October 10th. A creepy crawly adventure awaits at this family-friendly event. Get your little ones dressed up and head to the zoo – children 12 and under get in FREE.

Dinosaurs Live - Imagine what it would be like if you roamed the earth with dinosaurs? This is your chance! At Safari Niagara's Drive-Thru Jurassic Journey, you can meet ancient creatures up close, with over 60 dino-mite exhibits to see. Available October 15th to November 6th. 3. Howells Family Pumpkin Farm

What could be better than enjoying a cool fall day at the pumpkin patch? Feel the joy and anticipation of picking out the very best pumpkin while exploring all the fun activities Howell’s has to offer, including a haunted house and dinosaur train ride!

5. Hit the Trails

From the six-km Niagara Parkway to the spectacular Recreation Trail along the Niagara River, there are plenty of walking paths to choose from. Enjoy the trails by foot or bike – but be sure not to forget your camera!
