As April blooms and the world gears up to celebrate Earth Day, CAA Niagara is taking its environmental dedication to new heights with an exciting initiative.
From April 22nd to 26th, we invite the community to participate in a week-long automotive battery recycling event, held from 10 am to 2 pm daily at our Thorold Administration office located at 3271 Schmon Parkway, Thorold; and our Pen Centre Branch located at 221 Glendale Avenue, St. Catharines. If you are unable to make it into the branch, but would still like to participate, call us for a home pick up at 1-800-263-3616.
This initiative aligns perfectly with the spirit of Earth Day, highlighting the importance of responsible waste management and sustainable practices.
Our Sustainability Commitment
At the heart of CAA Niagara’s mission lies a profound commitment to preserving the planet for future generations. This commitment is reflected in our daily operations and in our long-term strategic initiatives. One notable accomplishment is our recent two-star rating from the Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA), a testament to our dedication to sustainable mobility and environmental responsibility.
Moreover, we have reached a significant milestone by converting over 60% of our fleet to propane. This transition has resulted in a substantial decrease in carbon emissions, reducing our environmental footprint by 240 tons! By embracing alternative fuels and innovative technologies, we are bracing for a greener, cleaner future in Niagara and beyond.
