CAA Niagara and AAPEX Driving Academy are proud to partner with Bridges Niagara, as they present an empowering and educational driving seminar for women - EMPOWER HER: Navigating the Road to Independence, in collaboration with Ridley College.
WHEN? Monday April 7 to Friday, April 11, 2025 - 9:00am to 12:00pm
WHERE? Bridges Niagara (Room #10) - 85 Church Street, St. Catharines
This exciting new training program will be delivered in collaboration with Bridges Niagara's Skills Training Program. The program is being offered to support newcomers who may have faced barriers to driving, we believe that transportation equity is an instrument to empower women. Receiving a driver’s licence in Canada brings a sense of accomplishment and opens new opportunities for women’s personal and professional growth, it increases independence and creates avenues for the whole family to succeed.
With a range of topics covering the importance of driver education to vehicle maintenance, winter driving and much more. This program is a combination of information and orientation, digital literacy, and skill development providing newcomers with the proper information and guidance to make smart, informed choices and provides options to rewarding driving careers.
This seminar will introduce:

👉 Ontario's Licensing Process and Exam Preparation
👉 Driving Schools and Driver Training
👉 Vehicle Ownership, Registration, and Insurance
👉 Safety Regulations and Police Interactions
👉 Career Opportunities and Career Guidance
👉 Graduation and Certification
Eligibility Requirements for the program include:
✔️ Permanent Residence (PR)
✔️ Convention Refugee / Protected Person
✔️ PR in progress
✔️ English Level CLB 4+
✔️ Female
✔️ None or limited driving experience
✔️ Willing to learn and commit
