While many of us are longing for the warm Caribbean sun, it seems that the topical waters will be out of reach for the foreseeable future. However, there are still plenty of amazing destinations within Canada to help ease your travel craving. If you’re planning an out-of-province getaway, don’t forget to pack CAA Travel Insurance.

Why do I need CAA Travel Insurance when travelling outside of Ontario?

As a resident of Ontario, the Ontario Health Insurance Plan (OHIP) covers hospitalization, doctor expenses, and emergency surgery across Canada, however that coverage does not extend to ambulance transportation, emergency dental treatment, and other services outside of Ontario. CAA Travel Insurance helps to fill the gaps where OHIP coverage is limited.

Does CAA Travel Insurance assist in the event of lost medication?

Yes, CAA Travel Insurance will provide assistance if your essential medication is lost or stolen during a trip. CAA Assistance will help by coordinating a replacement with your doctor or pharmacy.

What if I lose my hearing aids or eyeglasses during my vacation?
