2017
CAA Niagara and Pen Centre launches the mall’s first EV charging centre. Located near the Hudson's Bay outside entrance, the charging centre includes four stations, available at $1.50 per hour. Click here to learn more.
2019
CAA Niagara launches an internal Green Committee to create environmental awareness within the organization and implement positive, eco-friendly changes in its offices.
2021
CAA Niagara’s Green Committee hosts a 50/50 draw, with proceeds benefitting Heartland Forest in Niagara Falls, a peaceful, accessible and inclusive nature reserve that allows people to enjoy the outdoors while also learning about the environment.
2022
Digital Magazine
CAA Niagara pilots an online-exclusive issue of its Spring 2022 magazine to reduce printing and paper waste. CAA Niagara Members can now opt to receive the digital magazine by updating preferences in their MyAccount. Click here to learn more.
Company Go Green Challenge
CAA Niagara launches a new internal quarterly challenge, Let’s Make Niagara Greener, which includes an electronics recycling drive, allowing employees, CAA Members and non-members to recycle any of their handheld electronics and small appliances at a CAA Niagara Branch between February and March 2022.
Plastic Card Recycling
CAA Niagara purchases five TerraCycle Plastic Card Zero Waste Boxes, one for each of its Branches, to encourage Members to recycle their used/expired gift cards and IDs during their next Branch visit. Click here to find a CAA Niagara Branch near you.
Lowering Fleet Emissions
CAA Niagara orders several electric and hybrid vehicles to add to its Roadside Assistance fleet.
