Muskoka

Life is great up in Muskoka. Known for its little scenic towns that are ripe with culture, it offers visitors endless recreational opportunities. Pamper yourself at one of the local spas, dine on some of the finest food in the area, or treat yourself at of of the many shops. You can also enjoy the great outdoors and visit some of the local parks where hiking, swimming and boat rides are all the rave and great ways to see some amazing views.

Ontario Parks

This next one technically counts as two - they were both so good we couldn't just go with one! Not too far from Parry Sound, Kilbear Provinical Park has a great balance of beautiful beaches and lush forests. It has some of the best fish and chips around too. Algonquin Park is also a must-visit. With a wide variety of trails begging to be explored and open bodies of water that are perfect for canoeing, this is an outdoor enthusiast's playground.

Sauble Beach

Stretching across 11 km of shorelines, Sauble Beach is considered to be the second longest freshwater beach in Canada. It can be found on the Bruce Peninsula along the eastern portion of Lake Huron. The area itself can be quiet at times, giving you plenty of space to enjoy some fun in the sun. With the waterfront being the main attraction to the area, we suggest heading here in summer so you can get the most out of your stay.

Ottawa

One of Ontario's draws has to be the fact that it is home to our nation's capital city. With a population that hovers around 1 million, Ottawa might not be the biggest city in the country but it is definitely one of the most visited. Whether you want to learn about Canada's history through museum exhibits, gaze at the many creative works of art in local galleries or go on tour of the extravagant buildings that make up our Parliament - Ottawa will not disappoint. There is also much to do in ByWard Market - a retail and entertainment district found in the downtown core.
