At Local by Journeys, our mission is simple: to help people uncover the hidden gems of Niagara through authentic, small-group experiences designed to slow you down, connect you with your surroundings, and leave you with lasting memories.
On Saturday, June 28, 2025, we officially kicked off our new series of curated tours with Yoga, Brunch & Wine on the Bench, and we couldn’t have asked for a more memorable start. From peaceful vineyar d views to exceptional wine and food pairings, every element of the day reflected the spirit of what Local by Journeys is all about—intimate, enriching, and rooted in the character of the region.
Starting the Day, Stress-Free
The day began with one of the things our guests appreciated most: door-to-door executive coach service provided by Niagara Airbus. Instead of coordinating transportation or navigating directions, guests were picked up right from home and able to simply relax as they were whisked away to the first destination.
Yoga Among the Vines
Our first stop was Cave Spring Vineyard, where guests participated in a gentle, restorative yoga session overlooking the vineyard. With birdsong in the background and rolling vines as far as the eye could see, the setting offered a sense of peace that no studio could match.
After class, guests were treated to a refreshing morning bite and a glass of Cave Spring wine, allowing them to soak in the view and connect with fellow tour-goers.
A Culinary Experience Underground
From there, the group made its way to Inn on the Twenty, located in the historic wine cellars of Cave Spring. Guests enjoyed a three-course brunch, expertly paired with wines and thoughtfully presented in one of the region’s most charming and storied venues. Between bites and sips, guests learned more about the local culinary scene, the winery’s history, and the importance of sustainability in Niagara’s food and wine industry.
Art, Wine, and Family Legacy at 13th Street Winery
In the afternoon, the tour continued to 13th Street Winery, where guests were greeted by Thomas Whitty, a fourth-generation grape grower. His guided wine tasting showcased the vineyard’s celebrated portfolio and offered insights into the craft and care that go into each bottle.
Guests also had time to wander through the sculpture garden, explore the on-site art gallery, and browse the popular 13th Street Bakery, a hidden gem in its own right.
A Thoughtfully Curated Experience
By late afternoon, guests were returned home by executive coach—no traffic, no parking, no logistics to manage. The only thing left to do was reflect on a full day of discovery, relaxation, and connection.
This inaugural tour confirmed what we set out to create: a new way to experience Niagara, designed for those who crave more than just sightseeing. Local by Journeys is about immersion, conversation, and uncovering the stories behind the places we think we already know.
More Experiences to Come
We’re thrilled to continue the journey with upcoming experiences like Hidden Gems of Niagara’s South Coast, where guests will explore historic sites, vibrant murals, and local legends—complete with behind-the-scenes access and thoughtful hospitality.
If you’re looking for a meaningful way to explore the region, Local by Journeys invites you to travel differently—locally.
